Heart Sound Locations

We had this question on the last critical care exam about the location of heart sounds, which didn't come up in lecture at all in my recollection, however I happened to remember reviewing mnemonics for it while preparing for my NCLEX-PN 8 months ago and it helped me.  Basically the question was if you auscultated a thrill over the right sternal border in the second intercostal space what heart sound would you be listening to?  And by blindly clinging to a faint memory I decided that it would be the aortic valve.  I was right.  But here are the mnemonics that help me:

APT M 2245, and "All Physicians Earn Too Much," (which, is a statement that is not necessarily true--doctors work hard and we're their partners, and we shouldn't bash them, just like doctors shouldn't bash nurses--but it's an easy stereotype to remember).

The address: "APT M. 2245" stands for:

Aorta (2nd R sternal)   Pulmonic (2nd L sternal)

                                     Tricuspid (4th L sternal)
                                                              Mitral (5th L mid-clavicular)

And the phrase: "All Physicians Earn Too Much" is just, Aorta, Pulmonic, Erb's, Tricuspid, Mitral.
